Civil Engineering Society (CES) is a non-registered, non-profit
organization within the department of Civil Engineering. The
members of the society include the undergraduate and
postgraduate students, faculty, scientist and research
engineers of the Civil Engineering department. The CES has
been quite active in the past in providing its members,
particularly the student members, a platform to showcase
and sharpen their talents through a variety of activities
planned throughout the year.
One of the primary Engineering Dept.s of the Institute, the Department of Civil Engineering offers B. Tech., M. Tech. and Ph.D. degrees programmes The Department actively promotes curriculam development activity by updating existing courses, developing new courses and preparing resource material for teaching. The Department has a number of ongoing research projects and sponsered research schemes from public and private sector organizations.
I.I.T. Delhi is an autonomous statutory organisation functioning within the "Institutes of Technology Act" as amended by "The Institutes of Technology (Amendent) Act, 1963". IIT Delhi is situated at Hauz Khas in South Delhi, which is a landmark place in the colourful and chequered history of Delhi.Bounded by the Sri Aurobindo Marg on the east, the Jawaharlal Nehru University Complex on the west, the National Council of Educational Research and Training on the south, and the New Ring Road on the north.
